Who operates this site
Motor Max Ltd operates Southampton Cruise Day and is the controller for information processed through this service. For corrections, privacy questions or rights requests, email Office@maxsolution.co.uk.
What stays on your device
The Save action stores ship, sailing date, terminal, whether you marked the terminal checked, arrival mode, arrival slot, journey duration, chosen buffer, checklist progress, bag-count band and walking preference in browser local storage. Reset removes that record. We cannot read it from another device.
Shared links and downloads
The Share action places the same planning fields in the URL. The after-cruise planner also passes terminal, landside time, destination and bag count to the luggage page in its URL. Anyone receiving these links can see the values, browser history may retain them, and hosting services may record the requested URL in technical logs. Text and calendar travel packs are created locally by your browser and are not uploaded to us. Do not add names, booking references or other personal information.
Optional usage counts
We ask before counting page views, plans created and clicks on storage providers. If you allow counts, the site sends only the page path, the type of action and, for a provider click, a fixed provider label to our own website host. It does not send your ship, sailing date, times, bag count, URL query, contact details or booking information. The counter creates no visitor ID and keeps no individual journey history. Your network address is necessarily processed to deliver a request, but is not saved in the counter.
We rely on your consent for these optional counts. Nothing is sent before you select “Allow counts”. “No thanks” leaves the site fully usable. Choose “Usage preferences” in the footer to withdraw or change your choice at any time. We also keep measurement off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
Storage and retention
Your yes/no preference is stored on this device for up to 180 days, solely to remember that choice. If browser storage is blocked, it lasts only in the current tab. The counter stores combined daily totals in a private directory on the website’s hosting account. Files older than 90 days are removed on the next accepted counting request and are excluded from reports after 90 days. These totals cannot identify your contribution, so an individual count cannot be retrieved or deleted separately. Withdrawing consent stops future counting.
Technical logs and external links
The web host processes network address, browser details, requested pages and security logs to deliver and protect the site, on the basis of our legitimate interests in running a reliable service. These technical logs are separate from the optional counter and follow the host’s retention arrangements; contact us for details. No third-party analytics or advertising script is used. External providers apply their own privacy policies when you follow their links, including any disclosed referral link.
Messages and your rights
If you email us, we use your message and contact details to answer your request and keep necessary correspondence, on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing support. Please do not send payment details, passport copies or booking references. Depending on the processing involved, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (opens in a new tab).
Bookings and payments
The site does not collect booking or payment information and does not automatically send passenger details to providers. You book and pay with your chosen provider directly.
